How edge works:
Base edge is pure math — the gap between what the consensus of 15 books says a team's true probability is, and what the best available book is actually pricing them at. If the consensus says the Clippers have a 55.4% chance to win but Bovada is pricing them at 53.5%, that's a +1.9pp base edge. The market is giving you better odds than it should.
Edge (displayed) is the base edge adjusted for real-world factors: sharp money movement, public betting splits, injury reports, back-to-back schedules, weather. Each factor either boosts or discounts the raw number. A 1.9% base edge with sharp money on our side and the public fading the other way can become 3.4% after adjustments — that's the number we rank and display. The Lock of the Day is always the highest-edge play of the day.

I started sharing picks with a few friends from the neighborhood. They wanted more structure. So I built it. Every morning I run the numbers across four books, find the top value play, and write it up plain and simple. No fluff, no locks, no guaranteed winners — just edge, honestly explained.
